Opening 26.05.2026
Fondazione ICA Milano is pleased to present the book Garage Bentivoglio 2023–2026,
on May 26 at 6 pm.
The publication documents the first three years of activity of garage BENTIVOGLIO, a street-facing exhibition space conceived as a point of encounter between the permanent collection of Palazzo Bentivoglio, the city, and its passersby. Through a single window and without explanatory captions, the garage replaces interpretation with observation, presenting each work as a frontal image that exists simultaneously in physical space and on screens.
Between 2023 and 2026, the garage hosted works by artists and designers such as Matteo Nasini, Luisa Aiani and Ico Parisi, Agostino Iacurci, Pablo Bronstein, Ettore Sottsass, Edmund de Waal, Aldo Rossi, Piero Fornasetti, and Eva and Franco Mattes, reinterpreted through the constraints of the display window, where depth is flattened and objects become part of an urban visual field.
Designed by Tomo Tomo and featuring texts by Davide Trabucco, Alberto Salvadori, and Tommaso Pasquali, the book follows the rhythm of the project itself: a sequence of appearances and disappearances, in which each exhibition exists only temporarily before giving way to the next.
