Fondazione ICA Milano in collaboration with Xing hosts on Friday 14 February at 6.30 pm the record launch of AMAZOOM, Luca Trevisani's first LP and sixteenth release of XONG collection - dischi d'artista.

During the presentation, Trevisani will also be in dialogue with Nicolò Procelluzzi and Silvia Fanti/Xing.

During the evening, the artist will perform the sound performance Giungla da schermo / Foresta da tastiera, where Luca Trevisani “plays” the sounds of the Amazon rainforest thanks to a live text-to-sound device, transforming his computer into an unlikely musical instrument.

AMAZOOM is released on white vinyl, in a limited and numbered edition of 150 copies, plus a run of 30 collector's editions, each accompanied by an artist's multiple. Trevisani has created a sculpture inspired by Parartocarpus velenosa seeds, from the Amazon jungle where they are used by monkeys as a comb, now transformed into objects to be mounted on the turntable while listening. The edition contains a text score by the artist.

AMAZOOM offers two sonic interpretations of the Amazon rainforest. For side A of the disc, the artist produced hundreds of scattered, overlapping and co-existing sounds, until they converged into a giungla da schermo. He then chose about thirty of them, for side B, associating each one with a different key on his laptop keyboard, and started to beat the lyrics, or rather play them, literally.

XONG collection discs are distributed in the research music and art circuits.
